Description
Everything else on this site is a mountain expedition, half a day gone before you know it. Phoenix is the light version: twenty-odd minutes up the Mae Rim road, a couple of hours in the trees, and home for the afternoon nap. Book here and the ticket works like the mountain parks in miniature, hotel pickup at 09:00 or 13:00 and a meal at the park included, from 1,000 baht. Walk-ins are welcome too, the park sells bare tickets at the desk from 700 baht if you would rather sort your own ride. Do not mistake cheap for fake, though.

Phoenix Adventure Park
Mae Rim
The park is 18 km from the city on the Mae Rim side, about a 30 minute drive. It is a walk-in park: arrive any time in opening hours and allow 15 minutes for check-in and gear fitting before your ride.
Phoenix runs looser than the mountain tours, so your day is your own. Take the 09:00 or 13:00 hotel pickup, or drive out yourselves and arrive any time in opening hours. At the desk the staff gear up whoever is riding. The zipline programs run through the forest canopy with guides handling the clips; the ropes courses are self-paced under supervision, with the small course friendly to young children and the large one genuinely testing adults. Between activities there is the train, the playground and the sheep farm, and the restaurant covers lunch. Most families spend two to four hours. The park is 18 km from the city on the Mae Rim side, about a 30 minute drive.

Per the park’s 2026 rate sheet: ziplines from 6 years and 110 cm tall, the high ropes courses from 10 years and 130 cm, both with a maximum weight of 110 kg. With the train, playground and sheep farm for the smallest visitors, Phoenix is still the most family-friendly park in Chiang Mai.
Yes, when you book here: tickets on this site include round-trip hotel transfer (pickup rounds 09:00 and 13:00) and a meal at the park, free for hotels in Chiang Mai city; outside the city the park charges about 1,000 baht per car, so message us your hotel first. Phoenix also sells cheaper bare walk-in tickets at the desk without transfer or food, so if you would rather Grab out yourselves, that stays an option. Arrive before 16:00.
The ziplines are the flying part: programs of 10 or 24 platforms. The high ropes courses are the climbing part: balance bridges, nets and obstacles at three sizes, small, medium and large, for ages 10 and up. Younger kids fly the ziplines from age 6, and plenty of families do one of each.
The park asks for sport shoes, long pants and a long sleeve shirt. It is a real forest course, so dress for moving, not for photos.
Phoenix keeps running in the rain and sells raincoats at the park for 40 baht. Only serious storms pause the courses.
The activities themselves run from about 30 minutes for the short zipline program to around 90 minutes for the full ropes course. With the park train, the playground and the sheep farm, families routinely make half a day of it. Open daily 08:30 to 17:30.

It's a nice change and sight adventure while you stay in Chiang Mai. We tried the full course high ropes. It could be designed a bit more adventurous or longer. Nicely organized and I felt very safe. However, it felt too rushed and compact. I would definitely recommend they add a bit more time to go through the ropes with more fun and have more time to visit the area around the restaurant. That area was very beautiful but we only had 30 mins for a quick lunch and rushing back.

We had a great time there. We went on New Year’s Day, but it wasn’t crowded at all. The weather was perfect, and the scenery was beautiful. My 3-year-old loved the little train and also really enjoyed the playground. I had coffee and a meal, and both were good. The food prices were reasonable—not expensive. Aside from the food, I spent only 180 THB on train tickets for two adults and 20 THB on feeding the sheep. We stayed there for about 4 hours because my kids loved the place so much. Overall, there’s nothing to complain about.

Absolutely loved the high ropes (L) course with my 9 and 13 yr olds. We received better pricing from hotel tour desk than direct from venue. The guides Lock and Ahm were great, making sure my sons both had fun. A huge rainstorm added to the experience, and having fresh towels and dry shirt was an unexpected friendly touch that was truly appreciated. Pickup service was good. The included food better than expected. Really enjoyable session and would recommend. We found it confusing how many different age/height guides were found for this park but my 9yr old 129cm managed just fine with high ropes, only needing help a couple times being lifted up for zipline. He could manage all platform challenges himself. Safety is a focus and they genuinely want visitors to enjoy themselves. Even the little train was a great inclusion. Would recommend, but do shop around for price.

Its a very beautiful and calm place with a very big area. Our zip lining experience was good. Thanks to the guide named Ball and Pae. They were really friendly and helpful. In the area they also have sheep farming. Allover it can be a very nice and fun place for children’s.

A great day out for kids and the whole family. Safety is clearly a top priority, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and very helpful, making both kids and parents feel at ease throughout the activities. The basic package starts at 700 baht and includes high ropes, zipline, and a fun train ride—excellent value for a full day of adventure. There’s also a café and playground, plus a beautiful, comfortable waiting area where parents to relax while the kids enjoy themselves.
