Chances are you have already seen Pong Yang. Those coaster shots that keep surfacing on Instagram and TikTok, the little cart flying along a rail above the jungle? That is this place. Seven thousand plus Google reviews make it the best-known adventure park in the north by a distance, and it earns the fame honestly. The park hangs on the hillside at Pong Yaeng, 40 minutes up the Mae Rim to Samoeng road, a drive pretty enough that some people rate it as part of the ticket.

You make your own way to the park for the 09:00 or 13:00 session. From Chiang Mai city it is about 40 minutes up the Mae Rim to Samoeng road by taxi, Grab or rental car, a drive pretty enough to count as part of the day; arrive 30 minutes before your session for check-in. At the park you get fitted with your harness and start with the coaster while the queue is short. Package A then runs the full 34-station zipline circuit, the guides clipping you in at every platform. Package B does 12 stations and then uses its ride tokens on the quick jump, giant swing and jungle bike. Lunch or the coffee set is served at the park, and there is time for the viewpoints and the waterfall cafe before you head back. Plan on about three hours at the park, four to five door to door with the drive.
FAQs
The park takes guests from age 7, and everyone from 7 up pays the same flat price. Children aged 7 to 11 need an adult in the group and a signed parental consent at check-in. Small children ride the coaster paired with an adult. The guides check harness fit on the day; if anyone in your group is well above average weight, message us before booking and we will confirm with the park.
Package A is for the ziplining: all 34 stations, about an hour in the air, plus a T-shirt. Package B is for variety: 12 stations and then the quick jump, giant swing and jungle bike, which is the one families with younger kids usually prefer. Both include one coaster round and lunch or coffee and cake. Neither includes the hotel transfer.
You control it. The coaster is a gravity cart on a rail with your own brake lever, so it goes exactly as fast as you let it. Kids treat it like a rollercoaster, nervous riders treat it like a scenic railway, and both are using it correctly.
Sneakers are required, the park does not allow sandals or flip-flops on the rides, and clothes you can move in. The park also has a waterfall-side cafe worth staying presentable for.
The coaster runs in light rain and pauses in heavy downpours; the zipline guides decide on the day whether a section can run. In the green season the 09:00 session is the safer bet. If the park cancels your package before it starts you can move to another date or take a refund. Once a zipline package has started, the park gives no refund for stopping midway.

Amazing Experience!!! at Pongyang Jungle Coaster! A perfect adventure park for the whole family! The mountain coaster is absolute fun and full of adrenaline, alongside plenty of other cool activities for both kids and adults. The setting is truly magical—nestled in a lush, green, and well-maintained forest right next to a flowing stream that adds so much to the atmosphere. The little kids had the time of their lives and didn't want to leave! Clean, organized, and highly recommended for anyone looking for a great combination of nature, safe thrills, and family fun.

An amazing adventure and one of the most exciting experiences I had in Chiang Mai! 🤩🌿 Pong Yang Jungle Coaster & Zipline is a fantastic place for anyone who loves adventure and outdoor activities. The zipline experience was absolutely amazing, with beautiful mountain and jungle views that made the whole experience even more special. The Jungle Coaster was also so much fun! Riding the small cars along the track through the mountains, controlling your own speed, and enjoying the twists and turns was definitely one of the highlights of the visit. 🎢🔥 There are also several other fun activities and adventure games to try, so you can easily spend a few hours here enjoying different experiences. The combination of nature, adventure, and beautiful scenery makes this place a must-visit in Chiang Mai. I had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something exciting and different! 🇹🇭🌿✨

Fun day with the kids - aged 7 and 9. They loved the jungle coaster, ziplines, and the butterfly. The fly was "lame" and the VR was also pretty basic - but both were still fun. Plan to spend a fee hours here. We had time for two other activities during the day along with the time at the park. Would be nice if there was more than just the packages - as the kids would have played more on the jungle coaster if the was a discounted ticket for more rides.

For the Zipline... Wear sneakers. They have free lockers; you just pay a deposit. I bought the 14-station Zipline ticket from Trip.com for 7xx Baht per person, and I paid an extra 200 Baht for the Jungle Coaster and 200 Baht for the FlyLine. Just 3 activities were enough for 4.5 hours at my age 🤣. The food was reasonably priced. The coffee... it was OK. I paid 150 Baht for the staff to take photos—much better than bringing my mobile with me while playing.

The place is quite far from the central chiang mai city. Suggestion is to get a package with transport (if you are foreign tourist). Along the way, can see a lot of nice cafe and lots of a simple stall that allows you to dip your feet into the river while enjoying your drinks and meal. We didnt do thay because of the included transport is direct to and fro from your hotel in the city. We bought the package B from klook. Selected the 9am slot. You will reached there around 10am and leave the place at 12pm. Arrived back to your hotel in the city around 1pm+. Yes, it is enough of time to do every activities in the package within 2 hours. Once you arrived, the driver will bring you to the registration counter to fill in your name and d.o.b. Pay THB100 deposit for a locker (get it back later). Just follow their instructions and move accordingly. The activities are quite mild, it is suitable for everyone. The package comes with a lunch OR coffee. We chose lunch. You will probably finished all your activities around 11.15 to 11.20am. Left you around 30 to 45 mins to have your lunch at the restaurant behind the counter. The menu is individual thai set meal. Select one. Drinks not included. Drinking water is FoC. The rest are chargeable. P/S : the same driver drive the same route multiple times a day. He knows the road very well, hence he drive quite fast, the van can be quite uncomfortable if you were seated at the last row. My advise is dont sit in the last row.
